Q: I would like to select you as my photographer, what is the process to do so?
A: First off, we will be in touch via email discussing availability and wedding collections. I'm a sucker for love stories, so if you feel comfortable, please share as much about yours!
If I am available on that date, a pre-wedding consultation will be set up for us to meet and further discuss details of the wedding day. I usually meet up for coffee or at home where we can chat over a huge glass of Pinot Noir.
At the meeting, we will go over the photography contract, discuss some more about your expectations of the wedding day. Once all details are discussed, we will both sign the contract and a downpayment to secure your date will be made.
Q: How many people will be working with you?
A: Depending on the size of the wedding- I usually have one assistant who is a second shooter. They will be with the groom before the ceremony, should you want additional groom preparation photos. I am always conscious of remaining unnoticed while still capturing your moments. If you choose to have an elopement or intimate wedding, it'll usually just be me with you!
Q: Do you travel for weddings?
A: Yes! I love to travel. Destination weddings have always been a favourite of mine. If you choose to have a destination wedding, there will be an additional fee for travel and accommodation for myself and the second shooter. I also have locations that will be discounted if they're on my travel list!
Q: How far should we book in advance?
A: The sooner the better! I don't usually take weddings that are over a year in advance but I will always keep you as priority if you contact me first.
Q: How many images do we receive, and will these have your watermark on them?
A: This all depends on the wedding day, how many hours the collection includes, how many guests are at the wedding. I usually give a minimum of 500 images for a regular day. Every collection comes with unwatermarked High Resolution images.
Q: Will you be able to provide assistance in picking portrait locations?
A: Yes! I am more than happy to provide some creative ideas for portrait locations. I enjoy collaborating with couples to find unique locations that have not been used before and are meaningful to them.
Q: How long after the wedding will we see the images?
A: During the first week after your wedding you will receive a password protected client gallery with a few teaser images. You will receive your images during a 1-3 month period depending on time of year.
You will be able to view your images for up to a year in the password protected gallery.
Q: Will you choose our final images?
A: Yes, I will select the images and professionally edit all images that you receive. If there are any images that you think I've forgotten it's probably for a good reason (technical issue/imperfections etc).
Q: Do you offer wedding albums?
A: Yes! A few of my collections include wedding albums. However, if the collection you've selected does not include an album, I'd be happy to create one for you at an additional cost.
Q: Will you post every photo of our wedding on your Facebook Page or your blog?
A: No, I will select a few key photos from the wedding day to be featured on my blog. If you do not wish to have any photographs published, there is a section in the wedding photography contract you can opt out of, this will be at an additional fee.
Q: My fiancé and I are not the most affectionate in public, how will you direct us?
A: I've found that the best moments are not staged, or posed. Cracking a joke in between poses is where the real magic happens. I love capturing raw moments between a couple. I try to be as discreet as possible, I've had some couples say they forgot I was even around. So don't worry about this aspect, your love will shine through!
